PRONTO TABLE MANAGEMENT

Pronto Table Management, Ciao's entry into the Restaurant Table Management market, is revolutionary in a number of ways.  Most important of these is that Ciao has followed its longstanding tradition of developing a product that is as easy to use, learn, and setup as possible while insuring that the features that the restaurateur needs are included.

Among the features offered by Pronto are:

1)  The ability to design your backgrounds for your table arrangements using the panel features and images available from within the program.  There is no need to use an external image program to design your backgrounds as with most table management programs.  If you change your floor layout, you don't need to "draw" a complete new picture.  Just move, add, or delete the images necessary, and move or resize your panels to move walls, stages, bars, or other objects.  It's quick, it's easy, and it's fun (don't let your employees start playing with it like it's a video game or you'll never get any work done).

2.  Seat-based management.  Most table management programs offer only the ability to manage by table.  With Pronto, you can manage by seat.  You can have any number of seats in up to 10 different meal stages at once.  If seat one is still on their cocktail, and seat 4 is already on dessert, you can see that and manage it from the table view.  If you want to access seat one, touch seat one and you are there.  No more having to switch between seats once you are on the check just to get to one seat.  No more having to show the whole table in one meal stage.  No more having to force a meal stage order on a customer because your POS forces you to do so.  AND, if you prefer the more traditional method of accessing the table and not the seats, Pronto allows you to place a table with no visible seats, in which case it will function like older table management systems and just access the first seat on the table.

3)  Dynamic Tabs.  This feature is designed around several high-volume bars that our development team visited.  We noticed that a lot of bartenders run a lot of tabs for people who are standing around and not seated.  Some of them are known by the bartender, while others have to surrender a credit card or another form of identification.  Either way, the bartender ends up with a huge pile of tabs that he has to sift through and they are often scattered around the bar.  With Pronto, you can create a dynamic tab by hitting the tab button, typing in a name, and touching a place on the screen where you would like the person placed.  An oval will appear with the name you typed.  Pronto forces a unique name for each tab to avoid confusion.  To access the tab and add to it, just touch the oval.  When the tab is closed, it vanishes.  You can move the tabs around the screen by touching and dragging.  If the tab-owner grabs a seat, drag the tab over the seat or table.  You can also assign a name to the tab by swiping the person's credit card after touching the tab button and it will pull the name from track 2 of the card.

4)  A built in wait list and the ability to seat guests from that list with just two touches.  (In the next release of Pronto, this will be closely married to the reservations system).

5)  A wait list.

6)  The ability to use up to 30 different floor layouts.  These layouts can overlap.  Assign the same table number on multiple floor plans that overlap and the transactions for that table will be posted to one DB that all of the tables access so your updated table status will appear for each iteration of the table that appears.  This feature also allows you to have a main table map representing the entire restaurant and multiple sub maps that just show smaller sections.  Waitstaff can be assigned to any of these maps (sections), thereby allowing them to see only their tables if that is what the restaurant desires.

7) Ability to use your own images.  If you don't like the default meal stage images provided with Pronto, you can design your own and place them in our image arrays which will show the various meal stages.  The arrays contain an image for each meal stage from the top, bottom, left and right positions.  You can also use your own images for the table images.  The first and most popular use of this feature is using a pool table image for the table in pool halls and using the new timed menu item options from Ciao POS for the table rental.  You can also add your own images to use as floor decorations such as trees, doors, counters, TVs, and whatever else you want to display.
