Ciao Systems, Inc. has an extensive and growing line of POS software products and Web products designed to provide the Ciao Dealer Network and the End user with the most comprehensive and easiest to setup, configure, use, and manage systems available on the market today.  Among the Ciao line of products and services are:

PRODUCTS

CIAO POS SOFTWARE:  Ciao 5.1 will be released on 15 Jan 03.  In addition to the traditional core product, this version will provide an interface to Transaction Verification Systems (TVS) camera feeds with text insertion, a remote transaction monitor that allows managers to view transactions over the internet, the ability to force drops, timer based menu items that can be used for timed rentals of things such as pool tables, bowling lanes, and recreational equipment, and the ability to hyperlink canvases.  This version of Ciao offers full integration with the Pronto Table Management software package.  A service release is anticipated for Feb 03 which will include even more new features, including enhanced table management feature support, an interface to Scannabar beverage control systems, an interface to QSR Kitchen Monitors, and to new credit card package options and will add returns and the ability to add bar codes to guest checks.  In addition to these new and improved features, Ciao offers all of the traditional Ciao features including easy menu management, scheduling, multi-currency support, and much more.  Ciao is one of the few POS packages that is easily configurable for either quick service or full service and supports a number of add-on modules and interfaces as indicated below. <<MORE DETAILS>>

CREDIT MODULE:  Ciao utilizes Authorizer by Atomic Software in conjunction with an internal interface to process credit cards for the entire system through a single dial-up connection.  Optionally, I-Authorizer may be used to process credit card transactions over the internet.  The system queues transactions and holds the line open so if you have several terminals that all process credit transactions simultaneously, they will all be processed on one dialout instead of having to wait for the system to dialout separately for each one.  This is especially advantageous for facilities that do a high volume of credit transactions.  Version 5 will also have a pre-authorization capability designed to insure available credit prior to bar, food, or other service.

PRONTO TABLE MANAGEMENT MODULE (AVAILABLE  JANUARY 2003):  The Ciao table management module provides the waitstaff, hostess, and bus staff with the ability to see a visual representation of the layout of the restaurant instead of the conventional order entry screen  by default.  The Ciao table management module contains a number of unique and advanced features to better enable the restaurant management to effectively manage seating, order entry, turn time, customer flow, and statistical analysis.  The table management layouts are fully configurable from within the program and all layouts are seat based instead of table based to allow for more detailed controls.  This interface is visually attractive, easy and fast to learn and use, and contains a number of speed features to accommodate such things as cash accepted by the bartender and floor tabs for those standing around the bar. <<MORE DETAILS>>

TVS VIDEO SURVEILLANCE INTERFACE:  This local TCP based interface supports up to 360 cameras utilizing Digital Video to record transactions, employees, and customers in a higher resolution than has been available in the past.  The Ciao interface inserts transaction text into the video from each POS terminal and includes a text based remote transaction monitor that allows the store manager to monitor from home or another designated location.  

ADP PAYROLL INTERFACE:  Allows quick and easy export of employee timekeeping information from Ciao to the ADP Payroll system.  Allows for multiple jobs and multiple pay rates per employee.

NITE VISION PMS INTERFACE:  For hotels using the Nite Vision Property Management System, this interface allows the assignment of restaurant or store sales to the room or management accounts in the PMS system.  Allows for multiple management accounts including comp accounts for hotels with entertainment or casino operations.

SCANNABAR BEVERAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INTERFACE (COMING SOON):  For restaurants and bars using the innovative Scannabar Beverage Management System, this interface allows for exchange of real-time bar sales information with the Scannabar system enabling management to retrieve reports on sales versus usage and the associated variances.  This interface will prove to be an economical and easy system to control portions and monitor employee performance issues regarding dispensation of alcohol and cash management.

WEB HOSTING:  Ciao provides web hosting services, specializing in restaurants, at very competitive prices.  Hosting includes posting and configuration of site, routine updates, backup, and other services.

WEB DEVELOPMENT:  Ciao also offers web development services along a wide range of development and hosting environments, with a large number of tools whether you want the most basic of HTML or the latest in Multimedia presentation on your site.
